Mr. Vüllers holds a degree in coating technology – chemistry and technology of coating materials. From 1987 to 2012, he worked as head of surface technology at Wincor Nixdorf in Paderborn (pretreatment, electrocoating, wet painting, powder coating, electroplating). From 2012 to 2020, he was plant manager for enameling at KALDEWEI in Ahlen. Since 2020, he has been self-employed and owner of Markus Vüllers Coaching. He advises and coaches painting companies on the optimization of processes and procedures, offers training and qualification for painting experts, and trains process mechanics for coating technology. Industrial coating technology is much more than just paint on a surface—it makes products more durable, protects value, and brings color to our world. But behind every perfect coating is a fascinating mix of chemistry, process engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. At the same time, the industry is facing major changes: increased efficiency, sustainability, digitalization, and the loss of experiential knowledge due to generational change.
