B&B Coating Techniek has been designing paint and powder coating systems for over 30 years, focusing on high energy management, cost reduction and optimised throughput times.

Until recently, the coating of construction parts with fire-retardant paints was still mainly carried out on-site at the construction site. This was a costly and time-consuming method that required the use of large scaffolding, tarpaulins and heating of the entire building structure. For one of our customers, we designed a system that allows this special coating to be applied to large parts off-site. Application, drying, layer control and handling on 500 m² for components up to 18 metres in length and weighing up to 5 tonnes. The plant technology uses heat recovery and intelligent control for air handling. Employees can coat and dry the components in a conditioned environment, and the surfaces are easily accessible for coating and layer thickness measurement. The result: improved quality, shorter throughput times, lower costs and reduced energy consumption.
