OptiCenter® All-in-One (OC11): Powder management with dual powder container and the latest application pump technology
Gema Switzerland GmbH
OptiCenter All-in-One OC11 is the new powder management system with two OptiSpeeder powder containers (DualSpeeder), combined with the latest OptiSpray All-in-One pump technology, which combines advanced powder loading technology with the second generation of SIT dense-phase powder conveying technology in a compact device.
The OC11 has two OptiSpeeder powder containers (DualSpeeder), which enable two independent colours to be coated one after the other with ultra-fast colour change. The OptiCenter uses MultiColor Switch technology, which enables the fastest switching between the OptiSpeeder containers and the cleanest colour change between alternating colours. A change takes only 60 seconds and ensures colour flexibility and operational efficiency in small batch production.
Another feature of the OptiCenter All-in-One OC11 is its ability to coat from both powder containers simultaneously. On the one hand, the device allows parallel coating with only fresh powder from one container and with fresh and recovered powder from the other container, enabling independent application. Fresh powder is used for surfaces that require ‘A’ quality, while recovered powder is applied to areas that are less critical in terms of appearance. This optimisation ensures the highest product quality and maximum powder utilisation, which ultimately reduces waste and increases cost efficiency.
In addition, the two powder containers can be used as a dual source of fresh powder of the same type. Users benefit from a continuous automatic supply of fresh powder, particularly during long production runs. This prevents system downtime due to powder shortages.
With the integration of electrostatics and powder delivery via the proven Gema OptiSpray pump technology in a compact device, the new OptiSpray All-in-One pump is the first of its kind in the powder coating industry. This combination ensures seamless interaction between pneumatic and electrostatic functions, resulting in responsive powder delivery, delay-free powder cloud control and maximum application efficiency.
Up to 36 OptiSpray All-in-One pumps can be integrated directly into the OC11 in a very space-saving manner, eliminating the need for the gun control cabinet that is otherwise common on the market, saving space and offering ergonomic system layouts that can be installed quickly.
With the OptiCenter powder management system and the integrated OptiSpray All-in-One pump, users benefit from the fastest colour changes, stable coating results, intuitive operation and trouble-free maintenance.
The OC11 can be tailored to individual requirements with various equipment options, such as the US07 ultrasonic sieve insert. Customers can also choose between different internal fresh powder systems, including the standard cone, the cone with weighing device, the vibration table for the powder box or the external fresh powder feed with the OptiFeed FPS series.
