For 40 years, Bio-Circle has stood for safe, resource-saving cleaning solutions in industry. The aim is to replace hazardous solvents, reduce VOC emissions and improve CO₂ balances – recently also through approaches based on the CIRCO method.

At Paint Expo, Bio-Circle is presenting the PROLAQ cleaning system: a forward-looking solution for manual painting processes in industry and trade. Although paints and varnishes are increasingly water-based, tools are still cleaned with strongly labelled solvents – often without occupational safety measures. PROLAQ offers a sustainable, safe approach.

One system – three components

Developed as part of a ZIM research project (BMWK), the system combines:

1️. PROLAQ washbasins – manual & automatic cleaning

2️. PROLAQ cleaners – VOC-reduced, safe, recyclable

3️. PROLAQ service – consulting & exchange processes

Through sedimentation and filtration, the cleaners work in a cycle – without energy consumption. The service life is increased by a factor of 10. For example, one test customer reduced their consumption from 200 litres of solvent per month to 80 litres of PROLAQ in six months – CO₂ savings: from approx. 6.36 tonnes per annum to 0.42 tonnes per annum.

Greater safety – less risk

PROLAQ cleaners are:

• non-flammable

• VOC-reduced

• harmless to health

Existing equipment can continue to be used with a conversion kit – no need to buy new equipment.
