The MICA pearlescent pigments are made from mica of natural mineral and synthetic origin. The colourful tint is created by light refraction and multiple reflection in layers of the pigment. These layers consist of titanium dioxide or/and iron oxide on the transparent mica flake. These effect pigments do not contain any organic substances or heavy metals and are suitable for the production of consumer goods that come into contact with foodstuffs as well as for automotive paints, architectural paints and powder coatings.
