Interview with Roman Woclaw
Roman Woclaw, KMU LOFT Cleanwater GmbH in Interview.
In your opinion, what are currently the biggest challenges for painting companies and job-shop coaters?
To meet the increasingly stringent quality requirements of our customers.
From your standpoint, what are the best ways to optimize coating processes?
In the area of pre-treatment, care should be taken to ensure that the process water can be recirculated, e.g. by using selected chemicals and a water-saving cascade system.
Depending on the surface throughput, the type of pre-treatment and the chemicals used, several m³ of waste water per day can be saved by means of recirculation.
This contributes to the protection of the environment by protecting the precious resource water.
In addition, there are also economic advantages compared to the use of a conventional chemical-physical waste water treatment plant.
What trends are emerging in your area of industrial painting technology?
Conversion to chromium-free passivation.
What developments/solutions does your company offer for these trends?
With the KMU LOFT vacuum distillation plants, the process water from the pre-treatment of a painting plant can be treated in such a way that waste water-free production is possible. The distillate obtained by evaporation is returned to the process due to its excellent quality.
Keywords: recycling, ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge), resource conservation.
