Interview with Heiko Reski
Heiko Reski, Sales Manager, Blastman Robotics Ltd. in Interview.
In your opinion, what are currently the biggest challenges for painting companies and job-shop coaters?
The blast cleaning of large metal machine and plant components before painting is a complex and not entirely harmless process, which is still carried out manually in many companies and accounts for around 1/3 of the entire process.
From your standpoint, what are the best ways to optimize coating processes?
With robots specially developed for blasting, surface pretreatments can not only be performed faster and safer, but also more cost-effectively and with higher quality.
What trends are emerging in your area of industrial painting technology?
In addition to functionality, the aesthetics of components plays an increasingly important role. In addition to the specific painting technique, an effective and high-quality surface treatment is therefore indispensable.
What developments/solutions does your company offer for these trends?
In addition to the well-known 8-axis gantry bridge robots, which can reach every corner of the blast chamber, Blastman Robotics now also offers stationary robots for smaller applications as well as mobile robots for blasting very large components.
What significance does PaintExpo have for your company?
The World's Leading Trade Fair for Industrial Coating Technology is the opportunity to simultaneously present our latest innovations to many existing customers as well as reliable initial contacts and to obtain important market trends.
